New regulations regards Phytosanitary Documents for EU Imports
From September 1st 2021 new regulations are in place with regards Phytosanitary Documentation for imports in EU.
From said date ORIGINAL PHYTO CERTIFICATIONS are required on arrival in EU –
Without this document present on arrival, shipments cannot be customs cleared and will be blocked by Phyto Authorities.
This new regulation does not apply for following countries for which an electronic Phyto has been approved by the European Committee :
- Argentina
- Chile
- South Africa
- New Zealand
- Tunisia
- United Kingdom
- United States
- Five French territories ( Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Mayotte, La Reunion)
Electronic Certificates from below Countries, that were accepted under the Covid-19 regime, are no longer approved by the European Committee :
- Kenya
- Morocco
- Costa Rica
- Uganda
Electronic Phyto Certificates for below countries are under approval of the European Committee but NOT approved yet, so paper originals are still needed, from :
- Ghana
- Tanzania
- Zambia
- Peru
- Colombia
- Brazil
- Canary Islands
We would like to emphasize that there will not be a chance for EXCEPTIONS – September 1st is the date that this will be implemented.
